Phoenix FC Monthly Newsletter, Nov-Dec 2021

The Committee are delighted to send out our first ever monthly newsletter. We hope to keep all our members up to date with all the latest news from the Club.

Club News

On Sun 3^rd October Phoenix FC received our Club Mark Award from the FAI. This means that the governance of the Club is of an excellent standard and parents can rest assured that their children are in a club that puts the best interest of the child first.

On Mon 18^th & Tue 19^th Oct we were able to hold our first coach’s meeting in two years due to Covid.

The Club’s AGM will be held on Fri 26^th Nov at 7.30pm by Zoom (9541473463;12345). We really hope that you’ll all attend.

The Club will close for the Christmas break on Thu 16^th Dec and will re-open on Tue 4^th Jan.

This season the club has 17 small-sided teams, six 11-a-side teams and two senior teams. This month we focus on our new U8 teams. All our 2014 players have come through our Little Nix Academy and we currently have 32 players playing 5-a-side DDSL football Sat and Sun morning. We hope the boys and girls have long and enjoyable Phoenix careers.

Good News Corner

The Committee have received a grant award of €45.000. This money has been allocated to a new mower, new goal posts for the new all weather, 7-a-side pitch, 9-a-side pitch and new 11-a-side goals.

The Club have also been awarded a grant for coach education so all coaches will be moving up the coaching ladder.
